Shobha Mallarapu is the President and CEO of Anvaya Solutions, Inc., an award-winning Cyber Security and Information Assurance consulting company she founded in 2007 after ten years at Intel Corporation. She has been recognized with awards by many organizations for her leadership in delivering high-quality security services. These recognitions include:
-Recognitions from the California based agencies for her expertise in risk and vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, policy development, mitigation, incident management, and forensics
-National level recognition to enhance the security posture of the organizations and raise awareness at the leadership level
Shobha is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and is a member of the Project Management Institute and ISACA. She is a graduate of the FBI Citizen's Academy and a Member of Infragard, the FBI's elite civilian security organization.
She holds a master's degree in electronics engineering. Her published works and conference presentations in chip design and testing are available in IEEE transactions and automotive magazines. She holds six patents in circuit design and security engineering, with three more pending. Shobha is a graduate of Goldman Sachs' 10,000 Small Businesses program at Babson College. She is also an alumna of UCLA Anderson School of Management's Management Development of Entrepreneurs program.
Shobha offers pro-bono education to small businesses on Cyber Security and has spoken extensively at various events such as NAWBO, Women's Business Center, Small Business Development Center, and Chambers of Commerce. She has also presented at the University of California Cyber Security Symposium. She was also a keynote speaker at STEM events such as Placer County Science Fair.
Shobha is a very active member of the Sacramento community. She serves on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners - Sacramento Valley and is a member of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District's Business Advisory Council. She is a mentor for Biz Women Mentoring Monday. Shobha mentors high school and middle school children and has mentored robotics teams and organized robotics tournaments for many years. Shobha has donated thousands of hours promoting STEM through PC Pal, Society of Women Engineers, National Engineers Week, and Robotics. She has also served as a volunteer for various youth sports leagues and as a PTA president at middle and high schools. As a proud mother of two Eagle Scouts, she has served as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America.
Through her company Anvaya Solutions, she engages both high school and college students in various summer programs and mentors them. She also speaks to middle school girls from multiple schools interested in STEM. She was also the keynote speaker at Placer County STEM Expo and a mentor at 'Mentoring Monday,' organized by Sacramento Business Journal. Shobha is the recipient of several awards. She received the 'Women Who Mean Business' award by Sacramento Business Journal, Woman Innovator Award by the National Association of Women Business Owners, and Enterprising Woman of the Year Award by Enterprising Women Magazine. Sacramento Business Journal, Comstock's Business Magazine in She Who Leads Edition, and other magazines have featured Shobha in their articles. Under her leadership, Anvaya Solutions has won the Contractor of the Year 2018 award by the Small Business Administration.
